This drink powder is mixed into water rather than swallowed as a tablet, and has a sweet peach flavour. The magnesium is described by the manufacturer as 100 per cent chelated lysinate glycinate, made with Albion Minerals and TRAACS chelate technology.

What else is in the tub

The flavour and sweetness come from natural flavours and rebaudioside A (stevia leaf extract), alongside citric acid, malic acid, silicon dioxide and beta carotene for colour. The label notes it is gluten free and vegan.

The tub contains 347 g and is sold by weight, not volume. The density of the powder varies from lot to lot, and it settles over time, so the container may look less full than when first packed.

How to use

Start with one level scoop (about 4 g) in 6-8 oz (about 180-240 ml) of water, then gradually increase to two scoops (about 8 g) in 12-16 oz (about 360-480 ml) of water daily, or as recommended by a nutritionally informed physician.
