Desert Essence designed this children's gel around its BunBun the Bunny character to make brushing more fun. The mild formula helps remove surface build-up with brushing and gently cleans teeth and gums, according to the brand.

Organic aloe and stevia

Certified organic aloe vera leaf juice is one of the main ingredients, and the gel is sweetened with organic stevia and xylitol. Calcium glycerophosphate and silica are also in the formula. It is free from carrageenan, SLS and gluten.

Tube size

The tube holds 133 g (4.7 oz) and is boxed at about 18 x 4.4 x 3.7 cm. It is made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, labelled Leaping Bunny cruelty free, and Desert Essence is a certified B Corporation.

How to use

For ages 6 months to 3 years, apply a rice-sized amount to a toothbrush. From age 3, use a pea-sized amount. Use twice daily.
