This conditioner is made to be the step after cleansing and before styling, helping to soften strands, ease detangling and define your natural curl pattern. Its water base carries coconut and amla extracts alongside green tea, apple, lemon peel, sugar cane and beet root extracts.

Sets up wash-and-gos, twist-outs and braid-outs

Use it after washing to prepare hair for styling, or to refresh curls between washes. As I Am describes the formula as pH-balanced and free from sulphates, silicones, parabens, mineral oil and petrolatum, and says it leaves no build-up.

The bottle holds 237 ml (8 fl oz). The formula is concentrated, so start with a modest amount and add more only if your hair needs it. Packaging may vary.

How to use

Massage a generous amount into freshly shampooed, towel-dried hair, spreading it evenly from roots to ends without over-applying, as the product is concentrated. Comb through, cover hair with a plastic cap and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. For a deeper treatment, sit under a warm hood dryer or heat cap for 30 minutes. Rinse and style.
