Super Washing SodaArm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 1.6 kg (55 oz)

A booster that works alongside your detergent

Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda goes into the drum with your usual liquid or powder detergent rather than replacing it. The manufacturer states it increases the detergent's cleaning power, helping to shift ground-in dirt and stains and to cut through greasy soils on heavily used clothes and linens.

Uses around the home

Beyond the laundry, the manufacturer lists a wide range of household jobs, including tile and grout, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, stainless steel, microwaves, fridges, outdoor furniture, garage floors, silver and upholstery. That makes one box useful for both the washing and general cleaning cupboard.

What is in the box

The box holds 55 oz of powder and measures about 15.75 x 5.33 x 23.62 cm. It is described by the manufacturer as a natural product that is fragrance free and phosphate free, so it will not add scent to your wash.

How to use

For laundry, add half a US cup of washing soda together with your liquid or powder detergent at the start of the wash cycle, then add the clothes and let the machine fill completely. For other surfaces, follow the directions on the box.

Before you choose

This is a laundry additive and household cleaner, not a stand-alone detergent. Always read the label, warnings and directions before use, and test on a small, hidden area first on delicate or coloured surfaces. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
