Ester-C is a vitamin C formula that contains naturally occurring vitamin C metabolites. American Health says its water-based manufacturing process neutralises pH, so the formula is non-acidic and described as gentle on the stomach. This version also adds citrus bioflavonoids.

Format, directions and pack size

The suggested two tablets a day provide 1,000 mg, so the 450-tablet bottle lasts about 225 days. The tablet is vegetable cellulose with calcium silicate, vegetable stearic acid, vegetable magnesium stearate and a natural palm leaf glaze, and the product is described as vegetarian, non-GMO and suitable for vegans.

For adults, take two vegetarian tablets once daily, preferably with a meal.
