An alcohol-free fluoride rinse
Pro-Health Advanced is a Crest mouthwash that contains 0.02% sodium fluoride (0.01% w/v fluoride ion) and no alcohol. The brand says it cleans the whole mouth and freshens breath, and it is designed to be used after brushing.
Size and fit in a routine
The 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) bottle suits a household that rinses twice a day. The cap has a printed band that you remove before opening, then squeeze the tabs and turn.
How to use
Adults and children aged 6 and over: use twice a day after brushing with toothpaste. Vigorously swish 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) between your teeth for 1 minute, then spit out. Do not swallow, and do not eat or drink for 30 minutes afterwards. To open, remove the printed band, squeeze the tabs and turn.
Before you choose
Instruct children under 12 in good rinsing habits, and supervise them as needed. Children under 6 should ask a dentist before using it. Keep out of reach of children; if more than used for rinsing is swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control centre right away. Rinses may cause surface staining on the teeth, which the label says is not permanent and may be reduced by adequate brushing. US-market product: packaging and label wording may differ from UK versions.
