This leave-on treatment places benzoyl peroxide directly onto acne-affected skin rather than washing it away with your cleanser. The active ingredient helps reduce bacteria involved in breakouts and improve spots over time. Its cream format is useful when you prefer a targeted treatment layer to a medicated wash.

A targeted cream, not a daily moisturiser

Clearasil Stubborn Acne Control is applied to acne-affected skin after cleansing. Its cream format stays on the skin, unlike a face wash. The 5-in-1 name does not mean it replaces moisturiser, sunscreen or treatment advice for persistent acne.

How to use

Cleanse the skin first, then apply a thin layer over the acne-affected area. Start once daily. Increase to two or three applications only if needed and tolerated. If dryness or peeling becomes troublesome, reduce to once daily or every other day. This is a leave-on treatment, not a face wash.

Important precautions

For external use only. Do not use on very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. Avoid eyes, lips and mouth, and contact with hair or coloured fabrics, which may bleach. Using other acne medicines at the same time increases the risk of dryness and irritation; if irritation occurs, use only one at a time. Stop if irritation becomes severe. Use sunscreen and avoid unnecessary sun exposure. If sunscreen and this treatment together cause irritation or sensitivity, stop both. Keep away from children.

Choosing and storing your treatment

Store at 20–25°C and check the expiry date on the pack. More frequent application can increase irritation; do not use a thick layer in an attempt to clear a spot faster.
