CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Wash pairs 10% benzoyl peroxide, the maximum over-the-counter strength, with CeraVe's three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. It helps clear pimples, whiteheads and blackheads and helps prevent new breakouts, while the supporting ingredients help skin feel comfortable rather than stripped.

Face and body

The wash dispenses as a soft cream and turns into a light foam with water, rinsing away dirt and excess oil. It is made for breakouts on the face as well as the chest, back and shoulders. Fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and paraben-free.

Why 10% rather than 4%?

CeraVe also makes this cleanser with 4% benzoyl peroxide. The 10% version is the stronger option for more persistent or body breakouts; skin that is new to benzoyl peroxide or easily irritated may prefer to start with the 4%.

How to use

Wet skin, massage a small amount gently over the affected area, avoiding the eyes, then rinse well. Start once daily and increase to twice daily only if needed and tolerated. Cut back to once a day or every other day if dryness or peeling becomes troublesome.

Important precautions

For external use only. Do not use on very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. Avoid eyes, lips and mouth. Benzoyl peroxide may bleach hair, towels and coloured fabrics. Using other topical acne medicines at the same time can increase dryness or irritation; if this occurs, use only one at a time.

Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use sunscreen. Stop use if irritation becomes severe. Keep out of reach of children.
