Retinol cream with a hydration booster

This Medix 5.5 set pairs the Retinol + Ferulic Acid Age Rewind body cream (444 ml / 15 fl oz) with a 3% Hyaluronic Acid Booster Serum (50 ml / 1.7 fl oz). The cream helps visibly smooth the look of crepey skin, fine lines and rough texture; the serum adds concentrated hydration to help skin look plumper and more supple.

Texture and feel

The cream is rich and creamy with a glycerin, shea butter and dimethicone base and absorbs without a greasy finish. The serum is a lightweight, fragrance-free gel-like hydrator that can be used on its own or mixed into your body cream.

What the ingredients do

Cream: retinol visibly smooths crepey-looking skin and fine lines, ferulic acid is an antioxidant, licorice root extract helps tone and calm, shea butter softens and vitamin E nourishes.

Serum: 3% hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) is a humectant that draws moisture to skin to help it look hydrated and plump, with Centella asiatica (cica), green tea, algae and aloe vera to soothe and refresh.

How to use

Apply a sufficient amount onto cleansed skin and massage in gently with upward circular motions until fully absorbed. Use morning or night, 1-2 times daily. If you are new to retinol, patch test on a small area first and build up gradually. If irritation occurs, reduce how often you use it; if it persists, stop. Serum: apply a few drops to the palm, or 1-2 pumps, and massage into skin once or twice daily; use by itself on cleansed skin, layer it under your cream, or mix a few pumps into the cream and apply all over.

Before use

The retinol cream contains retinol: avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor advises otherwise, and use sun protection on exposed skin. The cream contains fragrance and fragrance allergens (linalool, limonene, alpha-isomethyl ionone). For external use only. Avoid the eyes (rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs) and stop use if irritation develops. Keep out of reach of children.
