This Medix 5.5 set pairs the Glycolic + Lactic Acid Skin Perfecting body wash with the Hyaluronic + Cica Extract Hydrate + Renew body cream, each in a large 444 ml (15 fl oz) pump bottle. The wash gently exfoliates away oil, dirt and dry, dull surface build-up to leave rough, bumpy-looking skin smoother; the cream then replenishes moisture so skin looks plumper and feels softer.

Texture and feel

The wash is a foaming, sulphate-free gel with a fresh peppermint and eucalyptus scent. The cream is a rich but lightweight lotion that is lightly scented and absorbs without a greasy finish.

What the ingredients do

Wash: glycolic acid and lactic acid (AHAs) exfoliate and hydrate, salicylic acid (a BHA) helps clear surface build-up, glycerin and propanediol are humectants and peppermint and eucalyptus oils refresh.

Cream: hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps, Centella asiatica (cica) helps soothe stressed-looking skin, squalane and shea butter soften, and vitamin E nourishes.

How to use

Wash: massage over damp skin, rinse clean and pat dry. Cream: apply a sufficient amount to cleansed skin, massage until absorbed and use 1-2 times daily or whenever skin feels dry.

Before use

The body wash contains alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic and lactic acid) and salicylic acid, which can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and the risk of sunburn: use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure while using it. It also contains peppermint and eucalyptus oils. Do not use alongside other products containing lactic acid, AHAs or niacinamide. The cream contains fragrance and fragrance allergens (linalool, benzyl benzoate, limonene). For external use only. Avoid the eyes (rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs) and stop use if irritation develops. Keep out of reach of children.
