A sulfur option at cleansing time

This sulfur bar brings an acne-treatment active into a rinse-off format, helping treat blemishes as you cleanse away daily build-up. It offers a different route from a leave-on sulfur ointment, with lather that can be spread across the affected area. The formula details below distinguish it from other medicated bars.

What to expect

This rinse-off bar takes the place of ordinary soap on acne-affected skin. Sulfur has a natural scent even though the formula has no added fragrance. Its drying action may not suit every skin type, so build up use gradually and follow with a suitable moisturiser.

How to use

For the first three days, test sparingly on one or two small affected areas. If comfortable, wet the skin with warm water, lather and gently massage onto the affected area. Leave the lather on for at least 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly.

Start once daily. Increase to two or three times daily only if needed and tolerated. Reduce to once daily or every other day if dryness or peeling occurs.

Before you use it

For external use only. Apply only to areas with acne, not broken skin or large areas. Avoid the eyes. Other topical acne treatments can increase irritation; use only one at a time if this happens. Stop if irritation occurs or worsens. Keep out of reach of children.

Remove silver jewellery before use because sulfur can tarnish it. Allow the bar to drain and dry between uses. The manufacturer advises using it within 12 months of opening.

Inactive ingredients: Saponified Oils [Sodium Palmate, Sodium Cocoate and/or Sodium Palm Kernelate], Water, Glycerin, Table Salt (Sodium Chloride), Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Fruit Extract, Palm (Elaeis Guineensis) Fruit Extract, Pentasodium Pentetate.
