Adult Acnomel combines sulfur and resorcinol to help treat acne in a tinted, leave-on cream. The tint helps the applied treatment blend visually with skin, while the active combination offers an option other than benzoyl peroxide. It is a treatment layer for affected areas rather than a cleanser or all-over foundation.

A tinted alternative to benzoyl peroxide

Adult Acnomel is a leave-on treatment for acne-affected areas, rather than an all-over body cream. Its tint is worth considering if you prefer a clear gel: this cream is not colourless. Although it does not contain benzoyl peroxide, it can still cause dryness or irritation.

How to use

Cleanse first, then apply a thin layer to the affected area. Start once daily and increase to two or three applications only if needed and tolerated. Reduce to once daily or every other day if dryness or peeling becomes troublesome.

Before you choose

The formula contains fragrance and 15% alcohol by weight. Do not apply to broken skin or large areas of the body. Avoid the eyes; rinse immediately if contact occurs. Using another topical acne medicine at the same time can increase irritation. If this happens, use only one at a time. Stop if irritation occurs or worsens.

For external use only. Keep away from children. Store at 15–30°C.

Full ingredients

Active: Resorcinol 2%, Sulfur 8%.

Inactive: Alcohol 15% (w/w), Bentonite, Carbopol, Fragrance, Iron Oxides, Octoxynol-9, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Water.
