poligrip-super-denture-adhesive-powder-extra-strength-6-x-1-6-oz
Poligrip Super Denture Adhesive Powder, Extra Strength, 45 g (1.6 oz), Pack of 6

A powder alternative to adhesive cream

Super Poligrip Extra Strength comes as a fine powder dispensed from a shaker bottle, so you can control how much goes on the plate. It is designed to hold dentures in place all day and help stop food particles from getting trapped underneath. The formula contains no artificial colours.

Finding the right amount

Starting with a very light dusting and building up only if needed helps avoid the oozing that comes from too much adhesive. The bottle tip can be angled to spread powder over the wide surface of an upper plate, or to lay a thin stream along the U-shaped channel of a lower one. It may take a few attempts to find the amount that suits your denture.

What comes in the pack

The pack contains six 1.6 oz bottles of white powder in Poligrip's original fresh flavour. Keep the dispenser tip dry between uses to stop it clogging.

How to use

Clean the dentures thoroughly and leave them wet. Sprinkle the powder very lightly and evenly over the surfaces that touch the gums or roof of the mouth, then shake off any excess. Rinse your mouth, press the dentures into place, hold firmly and bite down for a few seconds. Apply once a day. To remove, swish your mouth with water, ease the denture out with a gentle rocking motion, wipe away residue from the denture and mouth with a soft, damp cloth, then clean the denture with a denture cleanser and rinse.

Before you choose

This is a powder adhesive, not a cream or a reliner. A few people may be sensitive or allergic to it; if you have an allergic reaction or discomfort, stop use straight away. Swallowing small amounts during normal use may occur and is not harmful. Keep out of sight and reach of children. If you need to apply it more than once a day, your denture may not fit well, so seek advice from your dental professional and have the fit checked regularly.
